OUR SERVICES

Orientation tour

To determine in which area a family wants to settle down, an orientation tour is the best way to find out. During our first call and correspondence, a wish list is put together and the orientation trip is set up.

We will take a close look at:

  • Schooling, local, international, British, American and French schools
  • Viewing of several houses/apartment to enable  the client to get an impression of Dutch housing
  • Public transport, how to get to school and the office
  • Medical facilities
  • Shopping areas

and all possible other points of interest that you may want to be informed about.

If necessary, Expat On The Move works with an internationally recognized and one of the leading migration law firms in the Netherlands. This firm offers tailor made packages to the client and assists with all migration related legal procedures.

School search

School visits are arranged with admission officers and general information will be provided, not only about the school but also on sports and other leisure activities after school.

After the school choice has been made, we will, if necessary, assist completing the application forms.

Schools will require detailed information from the previous school, like reports etc. The parents will be asked to  provide this information.

We also provide help finding a nanny service and /or after school care.

Home Search

A successful relocation, for the most part, relies on a successful and timely home-finding experience, and that’s where we come in. You can rely on us identifying a suitable property by leveraging our trusted network of estate agents, reliable home owners and local expertise. We will find your home away from home.

The home finding program :

  • We accompany the client during viewings and assist them to determine which choice will be best. If the client is still abroad, we can arrange viewings  with video calls.
  • If required, we will negotiate the terms in the rental agreement for you.
  • In the Netherlands, Dutch law is applicable but naturally a real estate agent always provides English lease agreements.
  • After the is agreement by signed and the rent and deposit are paid, the move-in inspection is done in the presence of the owner, the agent and the tenant. A report of the status of the property is made as well as pictures of possible wear and tear.
  • Utilities such as gas, water, electricity and tv and internet will be arranged by the agent or Expat On The Move.
